Building healthy environments in participatory mode: 12 communities in action.

Short definition

Participatory urban planning connects citizens and professionals who gather in community centers, during neighborhood parties, during design workshops, to carry out urban projects that meet the real needs of their community. This approach allows for an exchange of knowledge between residents, who live in the neighbourhood on a daily basis (experiential knowledge), and planning experts (technical knowledge).
